RME Hammerfall 9652
If you can find it or afford it, go for this card. Three lightpipe in/three lightpipe out, "zero latency" processing, and monitoring outputs. It's one of the reference cards used to design Ardour, and is worth every penny. Paired with the Behringer ADA-8000, this is a killer combination. You may have to use gamix to make sure that this card is set to sync properly, otherwise your sampling rate may be off. Once set, this will maintain its settings

E-MU Xboard49 MIDI Keyboard Controller
I bought this despite all information on the net stating that it would not work with ALSA. Well, I got it anyhow, as I wasn't caring about a USB MIDI functionality, but I tried it out anyhow. I plugged it in, and it worked! It shows up recognized properly in Qjackctl's Patchbay, and I can use it with no issues. I didn't have to insert any modules either, the Ubuntu probed the appropriate module automatically. It's a pretty good MIDI keyboard, so if you are looking for one, I'm sure you'll find the unfavorable reviews of the M-Audio boards appalling, so I'd recommend one of the E-MU Xboards. Occasionally I had to turn it off and on a couple times for it to be recognized fully when I was plugging the board into the front USB ports on my PC. I switched it to a port on the back that is attached directly to the motherboard, and it seems to work every time now.

Sonido Firewire
# Debian/testing Binarios deb http://ftp.debian.org/debian testing main deb ftp://ftp.fr.debian.org/debian testing main
apt-get install jackd
Para ver qué aplicaciones relativas a Freebob existen allí, deberías ejecutar:
apt-cache search freebob
apt-get install freebob

BEHRINGER UCG102
Sean Edwards <cybersean3000 yahoo com> responder a Musix GNU+Linux users list <musix-users@lists.ourproject.org> para musix-users@lists.ourproject.org fecha 29-dic-2007 7:21 asunto [Musix-users] BEHRINGER UCG102 enviado por lists.ourproject.org Hello List! I haven't contributed in a while, but I have been lurking. Anyway, congratulations to everyone who received gear, or money for gear this Holiday season! I would like to happily report a piece of gear that works with Musix/Linux, the UCG102 Guitar Link Guitar/USB Interface UCG102!
http://www.behringer.com/UCG102/index.cfm?lang=eng
The CD ROM which came with the product contains Guitar Amp Combo software from Native Instruments for Win/Mac (which expires after 30 days), Audacity, and other software. Since Audacity was included, I thought I'd give it a try on Linux. On my system it showed up as alsa hw:1,0. Record, playback, and play through all worked! Ecamegapedal also worked, when the input/output paths were put on the command line: ecamegapedal alsa,hw:1,0 alsa,hw:1,0. For some reason jack/jackctl crashes when trying to communicate with the UCG102. Overall, I am very happy that it is usable in Linux! Thanks to Behringer for a great product that works with Linux! -=cybersean=- Updated Jack problem is solved: First, the UCG102 digital conversion is only 16 bits. Secondly, it only samples at 3 rates - 32kHz, 44.1kHz and 48kHz. So I set Jackctl to 16 bit and 44.1. Still no success. I then abandoned Jackctl and went to jackd at the command line, and set the Frames/Period to 1024, and it crashed. Finally, I increased Frames/Period to 2048 and jackd was running. With jackd stable from the command line, I started Jackcontrol, and jack remained stable. Next, it was time to test some applications. Both Ecamegapedal and Jackrack connected to jackd, applied effect treatments to my guitar, and produced sound through the headphones and recorded tracks to audacity. The short story is the Behringer UCG102 works with Jack, but may require some tweaking.
