Horgand DSSI 1.14.3

Horgand is a JACK capable organ client with presets and some effects incorporated. It generates the sound in real time like a FM synthesizer. As a result of this, you can change the frequency of all the drawbars and add some special effects. It features auto-accompaniment, looped drums, and a bass line in a wave table way.

In the DSSI plug-in the edition is not allowed, use the standalone package to create new sounds/banks.

Part of the HOLAP audio plug-ins. Installation is now available through apt package manager.

Holharm plug-ins

Holharm aims to be a smart harmonizer plug-in using the smbPitchShifther engine available on http://www.dspdimension.com in periods of 128 frames.

Holharm uses a double harmonizer engine, you can define the interval for each channel.

Part of the HOLAP audio plug-ins, they are now available at the contribution repository in both DSSI and LADSPA formats.

Darktable is a virtual lighttable and darkroom for photographers which manages your digital negatives in a database and lets you view them through a zoomable lighttable. It also enables you to develop raw images and enhance them.

It tries to fill the gap between the many excellent existing free raw converters and image management tools (such as ufraw or f-spot). The user interface is built around efficient caching of image metadata and mipmaps, all stored in a database. the user will always be able to interact, even if the full resolution image is not yet loaded.

The application is now accessible through package manager on contribution’s repository.

The second in a series of DSSI and LADSPA plug-ins is now available at the contribution repository.

Goomf is a simple Mono synthesizer, FM based, with six operators. The future plan is to add the analog filter code of ZynAddSubFx.

Holap Exciter 0.1.0

The first in a series of DSSI and LADSPA plug-ins is now available at the contribution repository.

Based on Steve Harris’s fantastic harmonic LADSPA effect, this plug-in tries to be a smart exciter helped with MIDI chord info and applying this info to the harmonic magnitudes. If no MIDI info is coming it can be used as a plain exciter.

The way of these magnitudes are changed with the MIDI chord info is right now experimental and sure needs to be revised.

Dynamic changes can not be applied on non harmonic/melodic sounds (instruments like drums and more specific like Hi Hat, Ride, Crash) because they do not depend on the chord harmony. For this kind of sounds use this plug-in like a plain exciter.

MMA & Disthordian into the extra repository

The new packages are available for installation through the package manager:

MMA 12.01: is Musical MIDI accompaniment generator. Creates midi tracks for a soloist to perform over from a user supplied file containing chords and MMA directives.
Disthordian 0.1: is a set of 3 distortion effects made by Hernan Ordiales and available as LADSPA plugins.

The extra repository must be enabled in the sources.list. See this post for details.
