Han sido dos meses excepcionales desde finales de octubre en el desarrollo de Musix. Se han resuelto varios problemas presentes en las versiones de prueba, incorporado muchas aportaciones al SVN y empaquetado aplicaciones; tenemos una versión de pruebas en el servidor y una beta pública a punto de ser liberada.

Por supuesto nada de esto hubiera sido posible sin la ayuda de los colaboradores y la comunidad.

Asimismo, algunos recursos están funcionando nuevamente a toda máquina:

• Los repositorios están actualizados (ver entrada previa).
• El blog y el wiki están bajo actualización en vista a la próxima versión.

También hay planes de organizar presentaciones públicas.

Aprovecho la oportunidad para invitarlos a unirse a los foros, la lista de usuarios (hay listas individuales para los idiomas inglés, portugués y español), probar la inminente versión beta 2 y reportar su funcionamiento.

It’s been two exciting months since middle-end of October in the development of Musix. Issues have been worked out, lots of commits to SVN and packaged applications; there is a testing version on the server and a public beta about to be released.

Of course, nothing of this could have been done without the help of all collaborators and community.

Furthermore, some of the resources are working at full-power again:

• Repositories, are now up to date (see previous post for details).
• The blog and the wiki, which are being under update towards the future release.

There are also plan about making public presentations of Musix.

I am also taking the chance to invite you all to join the forums, the user’s mailing lists (there are English, Portuguese and Spanish speaking lists), test the “coming soon” beta 2 and provide us some feedback.

Luego de un largo tiempo los repositorios de Musix están de vuelta totalmente funcionales. Sin embargo, antes de actualizar los índices de apt es necesario agregar la llave gpg del nuevo encargado de mantenimiento:

gpg --keyserver pgp.rediris.es --recv-key 50027709A75E7E1C

Luego:

gpg -a --export 50027709A75E7E1C > key

Luego, con permisos de superusuario:

apt-key add key

Finalmente, actualizamos la lista de paquetes (también como root):

aptitude update

Este procedimiento es válido tanto para Musix 2 como para las versiones beta de Musix 3. Las futuras versiones beta de Musix 3 tendrán está llave incluida de manera predeterminada.

After a long time Musix repositories are back again. However, before updating indexes in apt it is necessary to add the new maintainer’s gpg key:

gpg --keyserver pgp.rediris.es --recv-key 50027709A75E7E1C

And:

gpg -a --export 50027709A75E7E1C > key

Then, as root:

apt-key add key

Finally, update package’s list (also as root):

aptitude update

This procedure is valid for both Musix 2 and beta versions of Musix 3. Future beta versions of Musix 3 will have this key by default.
