The brazilian music teacher Gilberto Borges tells us that he has finished the last Musix GNU+Linux 1.0 stable version on CD, a 100% free operating system for artists focused on music production, based on Debian GNU/Linux and Knoppix.
This version of Musix, 1.0 r2r5, supports 100% the brazilian portuguese and english languages, and it partially supports Spanish, French, German, Italian, etc.., Although the full support can be installed later using Synaptic or apt-get (as explained below).
The goals are: to provide support for brazilian users and to update and improve Musix 1.0 R3 CD and R4 DVD, from the experiences of use during these months in various countries around the world, at homes, schools and other kinds of institutions. The testing of the first Brazilian version passed over the last 6 months, with no reports of serious flaws in the system.
Borges says that this stable release is a source of pride and satisfaction for the brazilian Musix’s community, and highlights the updated packages:
Muse 0.8.1a-6 (light Audio & MIDI sequencer)
Muse Score 0.9.2.2+musix (score editor)
Painel Musix 1.7 (control panel)
Rosegarden 1.7.0-1 (MIDI and Audio seq + score editor ++)
knx-installer 0.3.19.90 (a bug fix for the ugly fonts)
The following packages were added: Rakarrack (an excellent real-time effects processor for guitarists, this package was already on Musix 1.0 R4 DVD), Partitura (a simple program to create blank score sheets).
The following packages were removed : a-Mule and Terminator-X, which can be reinstalled easily from the command line, at a root terminal, as follows:
apt-get update; apt-get install amule TerminatorX

How to install full support for other languages
For instance, spanish. In a root terminal, type:
apt-get update
apt-get install kde-i18n-es manpages-es* iceweasel-l10n-es-es aspell-es myspell-es
That way, all the KDE apps, all the manual pages, Firefox, and the spelling function well in Spanish.
Consider the case of another language, for example, the Catalan:
apt-get install kde-i18n-ca aspell-ca iceweasel-l10n-ca icatalan wcatalan myspell-ca
French:
apt-get install kde-i18n-fr aspell-fr mozilla-firefox-locale-fr-fr myspell-fr
and so…
Enjoy it!
And then you can run: kpersonalizer to configure your KDE apps
